5 Ways to Make Monday Blues Disappear

The weekend is something that every looks forward to, whether you are in school, college, working or retired! It marks a day (or two if) of absolute enjoyment, relaxation and freedom to do the things you want to do! However, this sweet sensation fades away on Sunday evening as the prospect of another hectic week looms closer with every passing minute. Without further ado, here are 6 things you can do that will cheer you up, motivate you, and make you look forward to the week ahead:

1. Watch a Motivational Video:
We are sure you have been exposed to the multitude of motivational videos that go viral on social media. We recommend that you either watch one of them or search for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s motivational talks on YouTube. His growth path towards becoming one of the most recognizable/famous movie stars on the planet is simply inspirational. If these motivational videos can’t get you pumped to go to school/college/office on a Monday, we don’t know what will!

2. Plan to go get dinner:
Give yourself something to look forward to on Monday eve by planning to go eat your favorite dish/cuisine! You could always ask your friends to join you for dinner by sending them a funky invite using the Yoin App, click here to download. It doesn’t matter if someone joins you or not, make this dinner about pampering yourself with a nice meal and a nice dessert if that suits your sweet tooth!

3. Work it Out:
Getting up on Monday morning is akin to torture and if you are into the whole fitness thing you will agree with us! That’s why we recommend you pre-pone your Monday morning workout to Sunday evening. Even though most gyms are closed on Sunday evenings, you can always workout by going for a High Intensity run or perform Calisthenics based exercises! A good workout session will release happy hormones in your brain which will make Monday Blues disappear. A pleasant side effect of this is sound and deep sleep that will help you wake up refreshed and recharged on Monday morning!

4. Make a To-Do List:
It is most likely that we have a lot of things we need to work on during the coming week but we haven’t organized it into a list. Making a list not only organizes your work schedule and enables you to plan effectively but also gives you a ‘wake up call’ that pushes you to ‘activate’ your Work Mode.

5. Make a solid plan for the coming Weekend:
If none of the above work for you, here is a little secret! Make a special plan, it can be anything (movie, weekend getaway, date-night, etc.), with your friends/family/special someone. This is empower you to endure through all your Monday Blues and navigate effectively through the week as you have something nice to look forward to, as a reward, for the end of the week!
